“Afraid. Stuck. Nope. Not me. I can’t. I don’t know how. I’m not worthy.” Before I started coaching with Karen, these words permeated my attitude toward change and growth. Some mix of life and trauma experience, and personality has made forward progress a real challenge for me.
I’ve only had a few coaching sessions with Karen so far, but already I feel like some of my attitudes are beginning to shift. Karen has a kind, non-judgmental, and encouraging way of facilitating coaching sessions, while also firmly and gently holding me accountable to move toward my goals and uphold my values. Somehow, she seems to ask all the right questions and say all the words I need to hear to start making incremental changes in my life.

Thank you, Karen! I can’t wait to keep working with you! Here are some new words you’ve helped me internalize: “Forward. Grateful. Curious. Just because this hasn’t worked in the past doesn’t mean it won’t work now. This is going well. I can.”
Having never worked with a Life Coach before, I was a little nervous about what to expect. I started working with Karen Wilberg and very much appreciate her deep knowledge of my target areas for improvement and sincere integrity during our sessions. She has an innate ability to make you feel comfortable where you are and communicate effectively on how to move yourself to that next level. I never feel “forced” to use a specific tool or method that is recommended. Anything Karen offers is optional; which helps me try out new things to see what works and make improvements at my own speed. Karen never makes me feel judged and is open to as much or as little guidance as needed for my success.

Working with Karen is easy, yet challenging, because she operates from a place of authenticity and with no personal agenda. In fact, she is very honest about her own work and what she faced on her journey, which is inspiring and makes setbacks less frustrating. Whether teaching or coaching, Karen clearly demonstrates a seasoned level of knowledge and experience and a passion for what she does. Her understanding of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and coaching in general has helped to propel her into being a credible force and expert in this area. Her teaching background gives her the patience to adjust her style to the learning capabilities of each client. Karen consistently and artfully offers me steps, insights, and ideas that stretch me out of my comfort zone and provides the delicate balance of the leadership that I needed to delve into details of my work with the encouragement to do the hard word.
I genuinely cannot recommend Karen enough as a Life Coach, she is helping me to change my life for the better.
Karen’s approach to coaching is what I believe makes her an exceptional coach. Though I began as a practice client, it was her approach that kept me coming back. She seems to “get me” even before I do. There’s never any judgement. I don’t feel pressured and I know it’s ok if I don’t accomplish all I plan to during the week because we will approach it again, find a different tack and continue to move forward. She is able to give me a new perspective, help me to open up and breath fresh air, bring fresh thinking to old habits that need changing, all while affirming my progress. She’s helped me focus on what matters, taught me how to be more mindful, and facilitated positive change, one step at a time. Her approach is refreshing and has helped me hone my awareness, become more accountable, see positive change and celebrate that change. She actually makes it fun and the coaching sessions have become a gift of time to focus on improving MY life! I couldn’t ask for more.

I am so grateful to have you as my coach. You have been such a blessing. I have learned so much from you and I have discovered a lot about myself through our conversations. Thank you for letting me ramble on about so many things other than logging, exercise, etc. Your encouragement to me has helped me become a better person.
